Tashkent police arrested two men, aged 23 and 29, for alleged engaging in homosexual intercourse, Yunusabad district police department said. The two reportedly met on September 3 this year and began to live together in a rented apartment.
Investigation found that the men were copulating in an apartment in Tashkent’s Mirzo-Ulugbek district, which was filmed by one of the offenders, the police department added.
Forensic medical examination found that one of the men had traces in the anus "proving" repeated homosexual intercourse, with no other injuries on the body.
Homosexualism is outlawed in Uzbekistan and the two men face up to three years’ imprisonment under Art. 120 of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan ("Voluntary sexual intercourse of two male individuals").
