Four individuals have been arrested in the Denau district of Surkhandarya province for the brutal beating of a father and son, which tragically resulted in the son’s death.
According to the official report from the Surkhandarya province police department, the incident took place on April 27 near a car wash in the Bogishamol neighborhood of Denau. It was revealed that the victims—56-year-old A.U. and his 32-year-old son, A.A.—were attacked by A.U.’s 37-year-old nephew, Q.Sh., along with three accomplices (T.Sh., 30; Kh.Sh., 29; and another T.Sh., 30). The assault reportedly stemmed from a long-standing financial dispute.
The attackers forced A.A. into a Gentra and fled the scene. He was hospitalized later that day with severe injuries, though authorities have not specified who dropped him off at the medical facility. Despite receiving emergency treatment, A.A. succumbed to his injuries the following day, April 28.
Law enforcement initially opened a case under Article 104, Part 2 of the Criminal Code (Intentional Infliction of Grievous Bodily Harm). However, the charges were later upgraded to Part 3, Clause "d" of the same article following the victim's death. This charge carries a prison sentence of 8 to 10 years. All four suspects, including the nephew, have been taken into custody.
It was earlier reported that the killing was allegedly carried out by a group led by a notorious local strongman a.k.a. Shakki.
