A man who stormed a shop in Akhangaran with a firearm and threatened the shopkeeper has been sentenced to prison.

According to the court ruling, the defendant, identified as 32-year-old D.K., went to a shop at the Kamchik Pass on the night of October 22, 2025, to confront a shopkeeper, Sh.N. The two were previously acquainted. The man threatened to kill Sh.N. and struck her in the head with a rifle, causing physical injury.

In court, D.K. partially pleaded guilty, claiming he had no intention of killing the woman. According to his testimony, he had planned to marry Sh.N. and had sent her money for a house while he was working in Russia. He stated that the confrontation occurred when he began demanding his money back.

On April 1, 2026, the Akhangaran District Criminal Court found D.K. guilty under Article 112 (Death threats or threats of violence) and Article 277 (Criminal Damage) of the Criminal Code. He was sentenced to 4 years and 3 months in prison, to be served in a minimum-security colony (settlement colony).
