A school principal in the Orta Chirchiq district has been handed an administrative sentence for sexually harassing a female student.
According to court documents, 39-year-old J.I., who serves as the principal of a local school, sent messages of a sexual nature via Telegram to an underage female student on April 16 and 17.
In court, the principal admitted to his actions. He claimed he wrote the messages with the intent of "educating" the student and expressed remorse. However, the student's legal representative stated that the principal is unfit for his role and requested a harsher sentence.
the Orta Chirchiq District Criminal Court, J.I. ruled that the man was found guilty of committing an offense under Article 41-1 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility (Sexual harassment) and sentenced him to five days of administrative detention.
Previously, a bank employee was also sentenced to five days in jail for harassing a colleague at a hotel in Tashkent.
