Mobile subscribers can now transfer ownership of their phone numbers without visiting a service center, according to the Ministry of Digital Technologies.
This new feature has been launched on the Unified Portal of Interactive Public Services (my.gov.uz).
"Previously, to transfer a number, both parties had to visit the operator's office in person, wait in line, and fill out paperwork. Now, this entire process has been fully digitized," the Ministry stated.
This update follows another recent digital leap; as of April 1, the portal also allows owners to remotely assign liability for traffic violations to the person who was actually behind the wheel at the time of the incident.
