A devastating fire broke out at a residence in Orta Ovul neighborhood of Orta Chirchiq district in Tashkent province, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Emergency Situations confirmed said.
The fire reportedly occurred during the night between April 15 and April 16. Tragically, a 28-year-old man, identified as Z.M., and his three children lost their lives in the blaze. The man’s mother and wife survived but have been hospitalized for treatment.
According to neighbors who spoke with Ishonch.uz, the father died a hero while trying to save his family. He managed to push his wife and mother through a window to safety, but he perished alongside his children while attempting to pull them from the flames.
“There was a loud noise in the middle of the night. Everyone rushed out of their houses. We were absolutely terrified,” one neighbor recalled.
Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the fire.
