Tashkent to Yerevan direct flights are expected to resume in May 2026, marking the end of a multi-decade hiatus. Official reports indicate that regular passenger service is scheduled to operate once a week utilizing Boeing 737 aircraft. The launch of this new route is anticipated to catalyze tourism and strengthen business ties between Uzbekistan and Armenia, while significantly expanding travel options for citizens of both nations.

Previously, travelers on this route were forced to fly via connecting hubs such as Moscow, Istanbul, or Tbilisi.

Reportedly, the flights will be operated by Shirak Avia, a carrier based at Yerevan’s Zvartnots International Airport. Established in 2019, the airline operates an international network primarily using the Boeing 737 family of aircraft.
