The Dustlik–2026 joint military exercises between Uzbekistan and India have officially commenced at the Gurumsaray training ground within the Eastern Military District.

These maneuvers focus on elevating the combat readiness of participating personnel, honing modern tactical skills, and fostering a robust exchange of professional expertise. During the opening ceremony, officials highlighted that these exercises are instrumental in deepening the defense partnership between the two nations, serving as a vital platform for enhancing both the theoretical knowledge and practical proficiency of their armed forces.

Marking the seventh iteration of this collaborative effort, the Dustlik series has been held regularly since 2019, reflecting a steady evolution in bilateral military cooperation. The Dustlik–2026 joint drills are scheduled to continue through April 24.
