Following his official trip to Japan, the President Shavkat Mirziyoyev departed Japan for a visit to Russia, his press service reported. On Saturday, Tokyo hosted the inaugural Central Asia+Japan Dialogue Summit.
Meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council and an informal meeting of CIS leaders will take place in St. Petersburg on December 21-22. Uzbekistan has been an observer in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) since December 2020.
According to the Kremlin press service, the meeting is scheduled to discuss EAEU activities and approve a number of accords and decisions (including a free trade agreement between the EAEU and Indonesia).
