The Deputy Foreign Minister Muzaffar Madrakhimov met with the OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media, Jan Bratu, and discussed joint projects on media literacy and organizing trainings for journalists and press secretaries with the participation of international experts.
According to the Foreign Ministry, in recent years, Uzbekistan's cooperation with the OSCE and its institutions, including the Representative on Freedom of the Media, has reached a new level. The parties expressed their readiness to expand partnership in areas of mutual interest, improve media literacy, and organize training courses and workshops for press services of government bodies agencies and media workers.
As part of the visit, Jan Bratu will attend the 25th Central Asian Media Conference on "Ensuring the Vital Potential of the Media for an Informed and Sustainable Society" to be held in Tashkent on November 13-14.
