Burger King’s first outlet in Uzbekistan could open before 2026, the owner of International Beverages Tashkent Shukhrat Ergashev told Uzbekistan 24 TV channel in an interview Monday.

“I recently spoke about this – we are bringing in Burger King. This is an expression of trust from this company towards Uzbekistan. Many foreign companies, when entering the country, look to see if there is McDonald's, Burger King, or other brands here,” he said.

He added that the first outlet will open in Tashkent in the coming months.

“This is a very large global chain. In the near future – in a month or a month and a half – they will start operations, and year after year we will open outlets throughout the country,” added Ergashev.

In July 2021, it became known that Burger King planned to enter the Uzbek market. The Burger King Uzbekistan franchise belonged to a company associated with the chain's Russian office in Moscow.

In March of this year, it became known that the international investment company Revery purchased the Burger King Kazakhstan franchise from the Verny Capital group of companies. The deal was made through Holten Group – a joint venture between Revery and the founders of Pepsi Uzbekistan. Holten Group owns and manages Pepsi Uzbekistan, as well as the Baraka grocery chain in Uzbekistan.
