Türkiye is mulling introducing electronic work visas for Uzbeks, Dunyo news agency said. Uzbekistan government delegation met with the Deputy Interior Minister of Türkiye, Mehmet Aktaş In Ankara. During the negotiations, the Turkish official stated that it would explore the possibility of granting work permits to citizens of Uzbekistan who entered Türkiye on other categories of visas, without requiring them to leave the country.

Türkiye also expressed its readiness to consider the introduction of electronic work visas for citizens of Uzbekistan and to jointly work on creating a unified electronic database of illegally residing individuals.

The parties may sign a memorandum of cooperation between the ministries of internal affairs of the two countries in the field of combating illegal migration and facilitating the return of citizens to their homeland.

Officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan discussed legal employment of their fellow countrymen with potential employers in Türkiye.

Mos İnsan Kaynakları İşkur Özel İstihdam Bürosu employment agency reported it could hire 500 to 1000 citizens of Uzbekistan for seasonal work in more than 10 hotels in Antalya. At the meeting, employers raised issues related to the process of organizing the selection and employment of Uzbeks. In particular, an agreement was reached to address these problems as soon as possible.
