Action plan for the Save Food program has been adopted that will advocate for discounts for soon-to-expire food items in Uzbekistan. According to the plan, grocery stores will get shelves of soon-to-expire food items, where prices will be reduced every 10 days.
While, measures will be taken to prevent food losses at each stage of supply chain from field to store shelves. In this case, the processes of harvesting, sorting, loading, transportation, and placing the grown food products in refrigerators will be monitored.
