The President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump at the UN Headquarters on the sidelines of the 80th anniversary session of the UN General Assembly Tuesday.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev praised Donald Trump for his “profound address” to the UNGA when he touched upon all of the most pressing global issues and his achievements, namely resolving 7 conflicts, including the Azerbaijan-Armenia war and that he was worthy of a Nobel Peace Prize, and Uzbekistan would like to continue the bilateral strategic agenda that the two countries would be advancing together.

Donald Trump noted that Uzbekistan was purchasing "billions of dollars of US equipment" because the US make the best equipment in the world.
He promised to watch Shavkat Mirziyoyev's speech at the UN General Assembly.
He noted that projects worth $105 billion had been finalized during his visit to the United States, compared to $19.4 billion during his 2018 visit. Among the largest contracts was the delivery of Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft worth $8.5 billion. "$105 billion is very good," Donald Trump responded.
