The president Mirziyoyev signed the Conducting a population and agricultural census in Uzbekistan Decree today. According to the Decree, the population and agricultural census in Uzbekistan will be conducted from January 15 to February 28, 2026, as of January 15, 2026.
A National commission will be formed to organize the census.
To this end, the Association of Mahallas (neighborhoods), together with the National Statistics Committee and responsible agencies, will ensure that employees of neighborhoods system use tablets to conduct the census.
Also, government bodies will ensure that all employees working in their system from January 15 to January 31, 2026 shall be registered on the census.stat.uz portal.
Furthermore, registration headquarters will be set up in districts (cities) and their activities will be monitored.
