With the support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan, a joint venture was set up in Kabul between the Afghan company Khan Daqiq Trading and Uzbek Sogdiana Trans LLC.

In his opening remarks, the chief of Khan Daqiq Trading Hamid Khan said that the company achieved 150 thousand tons of goods transported a year on the Kabul - Mazar-i-Sharif - Kabul route by trucks, from Mazar-i-Sharif to Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Russia, the Baltic countries by rail and import products from there.

Aziz Abdullaev, chief of the logistics and marketing department of Sogdiana Trans said that the enterprise will facilitate the logistics for the delivery of goods from South Asian countries to the CIS and Baltic countries and their import from there.

The Ambassador Oybek Usmanov emphasized that the joint venture was of great importance for expanding cooperation between Uzbekistan and Afghanistan in transport, logistics, trade, industry and other areas and expressed hope that this project would create opportunities for the export/import activities of businesses of the two countries, reduce transport fees and increase the two-way trade.
