The Chinaz District Criminal Court sentenced a 16-year-old teenager to 8.5 years in prison for killing his classmate. During the trial, the accused apologized and said that he had had no intention to do it.

The incident occurred on June 6 in Yallama village. The investigation had found that after talking to his mother on the phone, the victim left home, saying that he was going to meet with friends for a short spell. Later, his body with multiple stabs was found near one of the village houses. It turned out that the murder was committed in a local football pitch.

During the trial, the accused said that the murder had been accidental, had expressed remorse, had apologized, and had asked for a lighter sentence.

The court found him guilty Intentional murder charge and sentenced him to 8.5 years in prison.
