During his visit to the Bostanlyk district, Shavkat Mirziyoyev inspected the progress of the Chimgan all-season resort project Monday, his press service said.

The project, implemented by the French company MND on 1,278 hectares, will host hotels and a cable car, that will tourists to 3,300 m above sea level.

Reportedly, this will allow full-fledged all-season tourism: alpine skiing and snowboarding - in winter, and mountaineering, hiking tours and recreation - in other seasons.

A six-story 320-bed Wyndham hotel will serve an average of 45 thousand guests per year.

Apart-hotels on 5 and 7 floors, a seven-story hotel and a two-story restaurant have been erected as part of another project. Their capacity is designed to receive over 54 thousand tourists annually. In parallel, construction of six chalet houses is ongoing.

A 300-space parking lot has been created on the complex's territory, with the ground floor reserved for a restaurant, a children's playground and retail outlets.

A tunnel has been built on a 1,450-meter section of the highway. Two bridges and pedestrian paths have been built.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev called convenient roads the most important factor for fully tapping the area's tourism potential and developing the economy.

He also reportedly emphasized the need for careful treatment of nature and the formation of an ecological culture among vacationers.
