The authorities have identified the land plots in Tashkent province for the new international airport project. According to the press service of the province’s Cadastre Agency, 1,309.76 hectares will be allocated for the project.
Of these, 790.76 hectares are in the Urtachirchik district, and another 519 hectares are in the Kuyichirchik district. In the land breakdown, 1,075.45 hectares are irrigated fields, 112.69 hectares are gardens, 0.65 hectares are pastures and hayfields, and other lands account for 120.97 hectares.
The future airport will be located 17 km south of the capital's airport. At phase I, it will have an annual 20 million passenger throughput and receive up to 169 aircraft at once. The capacity of the new airport will be up to 40 flights per hour.
The terminal will be equipped with 14 jet bridges; their number will be brought to 45 in the future. Basic passenger services shall be provided directly in the terminal building with convenient access to boarding. The project is planned to be implemented under public-private partnership terms.
