The president Mirziyoyev signed decree raising unemployment benefits from November 1, while the eligibility terms changed Monday.
The benefit will be paid exclusively to people whose employment contract was terminated by employer, as well as those who have worked for at least 18 months over the past five years.
On may apply for the benefit within six months after the employment contract termination. In this case, the average monthly salary for the last 1.5 years will be paid for a period of three months.
In the first month - 75% of the average monthly salary but not exceeding 3 minimum wages (3.813 million soums). Previously, the size of the benefit was 50% of average monthly salary. In subsequent months - 50% of the average monthly salary, but not more than 3 minimum salaries.
To re-apply for the benefit, one must officially have worked for at least 12 months after the end of the period of the initially assigned benefit.
If the benefit recipient fails to appear for a job interview at the direction of the employment authorities or for announced vacancies, or refuses offers of suitable work, then the payment of benefits will cease from the 1st day of the following month.
