Сanal in the Shirmonbulak area of Bulakbashi district, Andijan province has been polluted by a textile factory.
According to the Bulakbashi district administration, foam surface on the water of the large South Fergana canal flowing through the district on the morning of July 26.
Water samples were immediately taken by the Bulakbashi district of the Sanitary and epidemiological branch and sent for laboratory analysis.
According to Uzhydromet, after a post about the foaming of the canal surfaced on social networks, officials of the Ecology Committee conducted an investigation.
The investigation found that the physical and chemical composition of the canal water had changed due to the textile factory discharging water used for processing fabrics into the canal. The water was found to be containing nitrite and nitrate salts, alkali and dyes. The name of the factory was not mentioned in the report.
