The Chinese company - Shanghai LinkWise Data Intelligence Co is considering two data center projects in Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Energy said.
The company delegation was hosted at the Minister of Energy Jurabek Mirzamakhmudov. The parties signed a memorandum on the implementation of a 300 MW data center project in the Bukhara province Thursday.
Another similar capacity data center province will be erected in the Surkhandarya.
During the meeting, the parties also discussed projects implemented by Chinese companies in the energy sector of Uzbekistan, as well as their future prospects.
They also agreed to expedite all necessary work to implement the project within the framework of the signed memorandum.
In early June, the Saudi company DataVolt announced the launch of a green data center project in province. One of the largest players in this market plans to invest $6.5 billion by 2030. The company has chosen Uzbekistan as a key location in Central Asia for the deployment of infrastructure.
The first phase of the project has already begun in the IT Park in Tashkent. The second is planned for Bukhara province.
The President announced in 2026 it is planned to launch the Cloud Technologies national platform, together with investors, build 20 data centers with a capacity of over 500 MW.
