The President Shavkat Mirziyoyev today spoke to the Russian president Vladimir Putin in a telephone conversation. Shavkat Mirziyoyev warmly congratulated the leader and the multinational people of Russia on the upcoming national holiday - the Russia Day.
The two leaders discussed the ways to further strengthen the Uzbek-Russian comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance ties, as well as to expand multifaceted cooperation in the context of implementing the reached agreements.
They also focused on taking coordinated measures in order to maintain the dynamics of mutual trade turnover and support industrial cooperation projects and underscored the importance of continuing active exchange and practical interaction at the regional level of the two countries.
They also highly commended the rich cultural program of events regularly held in Uzbekistan and Russia.
