The level of perceived (personal) inflation in December rose by another 0.6 percentage points - to 14.7% compared to November, the Central Bank said in a survey.

This figure is the highest in the past 22 months (previous record was in February 2023 on 14.9%). At the same time, the level of official inflation last month was at 1.04%, and the yearly inflation slowed to 9.8%.

The regulator's survey provided respondents' answers about which goods and services rose in price the most in November-December.

In the last month of 2024, the share of respondents who reported a sharp increase in the price of meat and milk increased - 48% (in November it was 47%), gasoline and oil (propane, methane) - from 42% to 47%, as well as electricity and gas - from 30% to 45%.

The respondents also indicated a high increase in the prices of vegetables and fruits - 33% (24%), eggs - 29% (15%), medicines - 29% (28%), travel and transportation - 27% (19%).

Broken down by provinces, the highest perceived inflation was again in Tashkent - 18.3% on average (in November it was 18%). The capital city was followed by Fergana and Kashkadarya provinces - 17.1% (14.5% and 14.8% respectively), Namangan - 15.9% (14.7%), Tashkent - 15.4% (16.1%), Syrdarya - 14.8% (15.3%).
