Today the Senate Committee on Defense and Security convened for a meeting of the was held, the Senate’s press service said.

During the meeting, the Defense Minister provided a report on the state of affairs at the Armed Forces, military service by citizens, and other aspects related to ensuring Uzbekistan’s military security.

At the meeting, it was empahsized that in order to enhance the combat readiness of the national army, "modern armed conflicts were analyzed and the positive experience of developed foreign armies" have been studied.

As a result, compared to last year, the number of military events has increased by 1.5 times, and the professional training of command personnel has been improved, the event said.

"During the year, exercises were conducted with the armies of the United States, India, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan. During the exercises, the main focus was on the use of new UAVs in modern combat, the ways to counter them, as well as improving management skills and mastering new tactical actions by units at the strategic, operational, and operational-tactical levels," the report said.

In addition, in 2024, military personnel from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan underwent combat training in Uzbekistan.
