Fire broke out at Mir livestock complex in Alabuga district of Tatarstan in Russia on the night of December 24 in which 6 people died, including 5 Uzbek nationals, the Uzbek Consulate General in Kazan said.

Consulate General added that the Consulate officials went to the scene to find the identity of the deceased and identify them and added that the situation is under oversight and is in constant contact with the relevant authorities and medical institutions.

According to the Russian Emergencies Ministry, there were 39 people in the building. 33 people went outside on their own, one of them was injured. The preliminary cause of the fire is a violation of the fire safety rules for the operation of electrical equipment.
