Uzbek Ambassador Alisher Tukhtayev held an online meeting with President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Muhammad Ayub Mariani of Quetta city in Balochistan region of Pakistan.
During the meeting, the parties reviewed the proposals to increase the two-way trade between Balochistan region Pakistan and Uzbek provinces, implement joint investment and industrial projects, and attract mutual experience and technologies in leading sectors.
The parties, summarizing the year 2024, agreed on mechanisms for increasing the trade in the coming year, including expanding the range of supplied items to each other.
The parties also touched upon the use of Gwadar port and the reciprocal boosting of tourism, in particular pilgrimage tourism.
A meeting in Islamabad in January 2025 and online negotiations with Uzbek business leaders were added to the agenda of the parties.
