The Tashkent city police department has rejected the complaint filed by the Minister of Energy and will not be initiating persecution against the renowned finance blogger Otabek Bakirov after his suggestions that the Energy minister should "take time for from his duties serving his big brothers in Kremlin and Gazprom".
The department's decision was reportedly based, in particular, on the relevant expert opinion by the Mass Communications and Information Agency stating that the reasons indicated in the complaint filed by the Minister of Energy are non-existent, as well as the fact that more than 1.5 years have elapsed since the post that gave rise to the complaint.
