President Shavkat Mirziyoyev today in a telephone conversation with the Emir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani discussed the progress of agreements reached at the highest level and the promotion of investment projects, the presidential press service said.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev warmly congratulated the Emir of Qatar on the national holiday - the Day of the Foundation of the State, sincerely wishing him health, well-being and success, as well as peace and prosperity to the friendly Qatari people.
The two leaders discussed the ways to further expand bilateral ties and to strengthen the strategic partnership ties our countries.
They commended the outcomes of active contacts and exchanges. In November of this year, the first meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission and a business forum were fruitfully held in the city of Doha. In October, the events of the Qatar Culture Week were successfully organized in the city of Tashkent.
Major energy, development of transport and tourism infrastructure, agriculture, healthcare and other projects are being implemented with the participation of leading Qatari companies.
Regular direct flights have been established between the capitals, which contributes to the growth of mutual tourist flow.
The counterparts also focused on the schedule of upcoming events in 2025, including the second Central Asia-Gulf Cooperation Council Summit dialogue.
