The Interior Ministry announced a criminal case against an Uzbek, 30, based in the Syrian city of Idlib, who runs a military-focused Youtube and other social network channels. The man is now facing Encroachment on the Constitution, Carrying out terrorist activities, and other charges. His channel has been banned in Uzbekistan.

According to the Ministry, the State Security Service has opened a criminal case against him on charges of training or acting for the purpose of carrying out terrorist activities charge, Violating the constitutional order of the Republic of Uzbekistan charge, Illegally leaving a country or entering Uzbekistan charge, and Creating, leading, and participating in prohibited organizations charge of the Criminal Code.

Reportedly, H.N., he departed for Russia as a labor migrant in 2016, where he was allegedly influenced by the ideas of international terrorist organizations and went to the city of Idlib, Syria. As a result of the propaganda work he carried out from there, several of our fellow countrymen participated in the hostilities and died. At the same time, H.N. continues to give a religious tone to his criminal acts through social networks and YouTube video hosting and calls for jihad, the Ministry of Internal Affairs noted in a statement.

The ministry also reported that the pages he runs are banned in Uzbekistan, and their storage, transfer and distribution will lead to criminal liability.
