Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov hosted the new Italian Ambassador Piergabriele Papadia de Bottini on Wednesday, the Foreign Minister said on his Telegram channel.
“Congratulate H.E. Piergabriele Papadia de Bottini on his appointment as the Ambassador of Italy to Uzbekistan. After receiving the copies of his credentials we highlighted the top priorities on the agenda of the Uzbek-Italian Strategic Partnership. The Foreign Ministry of Uzbekistan stands ready to support Mr. Ambassador during his tenure in our country.,” the Minister noted in his message.
The Ambassador took office two days ago.
“Over the past few years, Italy and Uzbekistan have built strong relations of friendship and cooperation, which have recently been upgraded to the level of strategic partnership. I invite Uzbek friends, as well as Italians interested in this wonderful country, to contact the Embassy in Tashkent to expand and strengthen ties in all areas,” the embassy’s Instagram page quotes him as saying.
