"I would like to express my deep outrage - on behalf of myself, all members of the government, all citizens of Israel and the entire Jewish people - at the kidnapping and murder of Zvi Cohen, may God avenge him. This murder was committed in the UAE. The murder of an Israeli citizen and a Chabad envoy is a disgusting anti-Semitic terrorist act," said the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the beginning of a government meeting (24/11).
"The State of Israel will use all means and deal with these murderers and those who had sent them, to the fullest extent of the law. None of them will escape liability."
Israeli Ambassador to Uzbekistan Gideon Lustig: "We are shocked by the horrific brutal murder of Zvi Cohen. Terrorism and extremism are a global challenge, and we must counter this challenge together."
Note: Rabbi Zvi Kogan was a Chabad emissary to the UAE who went missing on November 21, 2024. The UAE’s intelligence and security agencies discovered Zvi Kogan's body in the UAE on November 24. Emirati authorities also detained three Uzbek nationals for his kidnapping and murder.
