Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, Kongratbay Sharipov and Rector of the Japanese Tsukuba University, Nagata Kyosuke agreed on Monday to set up a university in Uzbekistan based on Japanese educational programs, the press service of the Ministry.

At the meeting, the parties decided to form a joint working group to develop a feasibility study for the university.

Nagata Kyosuke also met with Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade Laziz Kudratov. They discussed the development of joint curricula for the new university, the adoption of new technologies in training in programs, as well as the gradual expansion of the future university. The parties expressed their readiness to take the necessary measures to implement the project.
