The Foreign Minister, Bakhtiyor Saidov hosted the visiting Foreign Minister of the Czech Republic, Jan Lipavsky today.

“Great pleasure to welcome Foreign Minister of the Czech Republic H.E. Jan Lipavsky at the MFA. Our nations have rich historical connections and people-to-people ties. Today, we had a broad agenda — enriching bilateral cooperation, facilitating regular exchanges, supporting more dynamic economic diplomacy, as well as acute regional and global topics. Underscored that there is a big room for our partnership. Huge potential is not yet realized. Together with my colleague we also signed the MOU on Cooperation between the Uzbek and Czech Foreign Ministries”, the Minister Saidov said on his Telegram account.

At the end of September, the foreign ministers of Uzbekistan and the Czech Republic held talks at the UN headquarters in New York, where they reiterated the support of the parties to expand trade and economic ties. The Uzbek authorities welcomed the decision of the Czech Government to establish an office of the Czech Trade Development Agency in Tashkent.
