Officers of the Interior Ministry and the State Security Service in an operation arrested a man in Tashkent who owned two drug labs, the Uzbekistan 24 TV channel reported.

One lab was located in an apartment in a multi-story building in the Yashnabad district, the other in a house in the Tashkent province. Synthetic drugs, various containers, scales, and gas masks were found there.

4.8 kg of drugs were found in the first lab, and 9 kg 995 g in the second — a total of 14 kg 795 g of the substance worth about $1 million.

An examination showed that all of the seized substances were synthetic drugs.

The report added that this volume is equal to 40 thousand doses.

A criminal case has been opened under Illegal sale of narcotic drugs, their analogues, or psychotropic substances in large quantities charge, and is punishable with from 10 to 20 years of imprisonment.
