President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay a visit to Moscow on October 7-8 the next meeting of the Council of CIS Heads of State, the presidential press service said.
Russia is currently the chairing country in the CIS. At the summit, the chairmanship will be handed over to Tajikistan.
According to the CIS Executive Committee, the summit, which will take place on October 8, will touch upon cooperation within the Commonwealth, an address to the peoples of the CIS countries and the world community in connection with the 80th anniversary of Victory in the 1941-1945 war, the activities of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly to strengthen integration cooperation and other issues.
The heads of state are expected to sign accords on declaring the cultural capitals of the Commonwealth for the next three years, pass amendments to a number of documents concerning cooperation in the legal field, as well as in the field of security.
