Uzbekistan defeated Kyrgyzstan 5-0 in friendly match behind closed doors last Friday at Bunyodkor stadium. The score was opened by Sardor Rashidov 9 minutes into the game, Igor Sergeev doubled the lead in the 43th minute. The remaining three goals were scored in the last 10 minutes of the game, Mirzaev (84), Masharipov (90 + 2) and Geinrich (90 + 4, penalty).
Uzbekistan national team has two remaining World Cup qualifiers against China (away) on August 31 and Korea Republic on 5 September (home). After matchday 8, Uzbekistan is third on 12 points behind Korea Republic (13 points), with Iran already earned qualification.
