Russian president Vladimir Putin will pay a visit to Uzbekistan on May 26-27, with a number of documents planned to be signed a, said Assistant to the Russian president, Yuri Ushakov.
“For the time being I can say that today and tomorrow there will be a visit to Belarus, and on Sunday and Monday there will be a visit to Uzbekistan,” he told reporters.
Answering the question whether any documents are expected to be signed during the visit, Ushakov said: “Yes, it is. Several accords.”
On May 21, Putin had a telephone conversation with the President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
Russian president’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov earlier satetd that Vladimir Putin, as part of his official visit to Belarus - May 23-24 - would meet with President Alexander Lukashenko in Minsk on Thursday evening.
