Governor of Navoi province, Normat Tursunov met with CEOs of large companies in Russia, the press service of the province governor’s office said.
In particular, the delegation held meetings with the owners and directors of Russian companies - 1520, Profine, Russkiy Lyon and Prirodnyi kamen. During the meetings, negotiations took place on the production of components and spare parts necessary for the railway in the province, the organization of the production of doors and windows worth US$ 5 million at Navoi SEZ, and the production projects from mixtures of flax stems and cotton fibers to yarn and finished products. The export of natural decorative stones from Navoi province to Russia was also discussed.
In addition, Normat Tursunov met with Andrey Gutorov, deputy director of Uralkhim company and discussed the prospects for the implementation of the potassium nitrate and potassium sulfate production project with the company in the Navoi province.
Reportedly, investment agreements worth 40 million US dollars were reached on the first day of the visit.
