President Shavkat Mirziyoyev today had a telephone conversation with the president of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulated the president of Kazakhstan on his birthday and wished him good health, happiness and success, peace and prosperity to the brotherly Kazakh people. He underscored Kassym-Jomart Tokayev's great personal contribution to strengthening friendship and good-neighborly relations between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
The two leaders discussed the current issues related to the further expansion of Uzbek-Kazakh multilateral ties. They discussed the progress of the agreements reached at the practical meeting held in Khiva and the plan of future high-level events.
They focused on forming a new portfolio of trade and economic cooperation projects, promoting cooperation in the fields of industry, transport and logistics, energy, agriculture, involving business and regions and emphasized the importance of continuing active cultural-humanitarian exchange.
