From $300 million and $1 billlion outflows from Uzbekistan annually through online gambling, Nodirjon Djurayev, Head of the crypto assets Department at the National Agency of Perspective Projects (NAPP) said.
During a press conference, Nodirjon Djuraev emphasized that gambling in Uzbekistan is primarily online. The earlier Presidential decree lifted the ban for online gambling and betting excludes physical casinos and other gambling venues.
The National Agency of Perspective Projects (NAPP) estimates that levying taxes from bookmakers and lotteries could generate around $6 mln annually for Uzbekistan budget. Starting next year, these entities will be permitted to operate, subject to a 4% turnover tax rate until 2030.
