The STIHIA electronic music, art and science festival will take place from June 5 to 8 in Muynak. STIHIA has been held annually since 2018. This year the festival will again take place in a historically significant place - in the city of Muynak, where it has been held since its inception, except last year.
Last year, STIHIA took place in the Navoi province. The event attracted about 3,000 visitors, half of whom came from other countries - Kazakhstan, Russia, France, Germany, Kyrgyzstan and others.
STIHIA is not just a festival, it is a kind of movement towards sustainable development of the province, mutual respect for the environment and cultural heritage, said the festival organizers.
The STIHIA will feature four scenes:
- I Am Still Waiting For You, Jonim - industrial techno, tribal bass, hardcore and trance.
- Lighthouse - house rhythms, progressive and dub techno.
- #BackToMuynak - open soundboard, local artists.
- Aq Keme is a testing ground for experiments - avant-garde live shows and ornate DJ sets.
In addition to musical performances, guests of the event will traditionally enjoy master classes, workshops, as well as STIHIA N+1, a forum dedicated to ecology and sustainable development.
This year's musical lineup consists of more than 50 artists from around the world - from the vanguard of the international electronic music scene to experimental acoustic groups and ambient.
At the festival, three musical communities of Central Asia, which shape the modern club culture of the province, will present their creativity. They are pioneers of the electronic music scene - from primitive tribal to post-industrial hardcore, through the jungle of acid and techno, the statement says. We are talking about the Frumos and Sublimation communities from Uzbekistan and ZVUK from Kazakhstan.
This year, the event organizers invited such electronics masters as Deena Abdelwahed (Tunisia/France), Galya Bisengalieva (Kazakhstan/UK), Masayoshi Fujita (Japan), PTU (CIS) and Sign Libra (Latvia).
