A score of changes in regulations and other novelties will take effect on May 1, 2024 in Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Justice said on Wednesday.
Prices for electricity and gas will rise from May 1 with social limits
Starting May 1, prices for electricity and gas will for the first time since August 2019. While, social limits on power consumption are being introduced. The subsequent increase is scheduled for April 2025.
Monthly financial aid will be introduced for single elderly people and persons with disabilities instead of compensation
Instead of monthly benefits for housing and utility services and monthly additional payments for food and personal care products, single elderly people and persons with disabilities included in the Unified Register of Social Protection will get monthly financial aid in the amount of minimum consumer expenses for single elderly people and persons with a disability.
Permission for extraction of sand and gravel in river beds will be only through the E-auksion platform
An indefinite standstill will being introduced on the extraction of non-metallic materials in the beds of the Chirchik, Sangzor, Zarafshan, Naryn, Kashkadarya, Surkhandarya and Syr Darya rivers.
The implementation of the right to extract sand and gravel materials in the beds of other rivers not covered by the standstill, coastal strips and water protection zones is now carried out exclusively through the E-auksion electronic platform.
Emergency volunteer groups will be formed
Volunteer groups will be formed in each province for strong earthquakes.
Issuance of 17 types of opinions will be through public service centers
Governmental services for issuing opinions can be obtained through governmental service centers or EPIGU. Conclusions are issued:
Experiment on personal income tax return to farmers will stop
From April 1, 2023 to May 1, 2024, as an experiment, farms specializing in the cultivation of cotton and (or) grain were receiving personal income tax returns paid on income in the form of wages for their employees.
New mandatory payments and fees to be established only through laws
From May 1, 2024, new mandatory payments and fees for individuals and business entities will be introduced only through laws.
Procedure for issuing executive documents in electronic form will be introduced
The procedure for issuing (sending, providing) executive documents on the basis of judicial acts in electronic form is being introduced. A minimum amount of guaranteed income for citizens will be established, on which debt collection cannot be applied. The procedure for simplified enforcement proceedings also applies to the collection of debt for postal expenses.
