Lawyer, 54, of the Tashkent’s Yakkasaray district mayor’s office died in a swimming pool of a local school on April 18 at approximately 15:30, the spokesman to the General Prosecutor's Office, Khayot Shamsutdinov said.
Reportedly, the man felt bad ill while swimming. A forensic medical examination has been ordered to determine the cause of death.
A source told tha the administration of the school’s pool canceled classes due to the mayor’s office event (party) involving alcoholic drinks.
The prosecutor's office is conducting a pre-investigation investigation into the incident.
