The Organization of Turkic States (OTS) is proud to announce the upcoming "Turkic Week" in Geneva, which will be an enthusiastic celebration of the common heritage, cooperation and artistic treasure of the Turkic States.
From 22-25 April 2024, Geneva will host a series of events showcasing the rich cultural tapestry and dynamic cooperation of the Turkic World.
The events will be co-organized by the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), International Organization of Turkic Culture, (TURKSOY), Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, International Turkic Academy and Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States (TURKPA) and will be hosted by the United Nations (UN) Geneva Office, the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the Geneva Conservatory of Music.
The events within the framework of the Turkic Week will start with the grand opening of the Turkic World Exhibition on 22 April and will continue with the Conference titled "OTS as an Emerging Actor for Achieving Sustainable Development Goals" on the same day. At the Conference, participants will engage in enlightening discussions on leveraging Turkic cooperation to address global challenges and promote sustainable development.
The Conference on the next day on April 23 will focus on the joint efforts of the Turkic Cooperation Organizations and is entitled "Turkic Cooperation Organizations: United in Heritage, Forward in Action". At the Gala Concert to be held on the same day, TURKSOY artists will give the guests a night full of art and culture with their mesmerizing performances.
On April 25, the famous Kazakh composer and pianist Rakhat-Bi Abdyssagin will take the stage at the Turkic Week with a concert filled with the melodies of the peoples of the Turkic World.
"Turkic Week Geneva 2024" is a manifestation of the ongoing spirit of cooperation, cultural richness and artistic creativity in the Turkic World, offering all participants an opportunity for a discovery, celebration and friendship.
