In a step aimed at bolstering economic cooperation and supporting ongoing reforms, Uzbekistan and KfW Development Bank have made a finance agreement worth €150mln, the Ministry of Economy and Finance said. 

The agreement was inked by First Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance Ilkhom Norkulov, Director of the Central Asian Regional Office of KfW, Andreas Schneider and the Counsellor to the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Germany Alice Wolken.

The deal will provide additional cash for the First Inclusive and Resilient Market Economy Development Policy project, developed in line with the Uzbekistan - 2030 strategy in collaboration with the World Bank. This initiative focuses on spearheading reforms across critical sectors such as energy, transport, social protection, gender equality, and climate protection.

In their remarks, officials emphasized its role in advancing Uzbekistan's socio-economic landscape while underlining the commitment to deepen cooperation with international partners.
