Terms for reciprocal travels for nationals of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan have been relaxed. Now Kazakh nationals will be able to stay in Uzbekistan for 30 days without residence registration. Uzbekistan nationals will be entitled with the same rights.
President of Kazakhstan, Kasim-Jomart Tokayev on Saturday ratified the MoM of July 7, 2000 on amendments to the agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the Terms for reciprocal travels.
Nationals of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan are not required to register with the authorities if their stay in this country does not exceed 30 calendar days from the moment they cross the state border. Previously, this period was equal to 5 days.
