Governor of Surkhandarya province, Ulugbek Kasimov, hosted the delegation headed by Kemal GÜNAY, CEO of Akgün Energy, a Turkish solar power plants contractor.
At the meeting, the parties acknowledged that the ties between Uzbekistan and Turkey were havein a high upward trend and that businesses of both countries had been created all opportunities for mutual investments and implement projects.
Kemal GÜNAY pointed out that the weather of Surkhandarya province is sunny for the main part of the year, it has the necessary opportunities and conditions to introduce the increasingly needed energy, including renewable electricity sources, and proposed a project to build a 100 MW PV plant in Surkhandarya.
At the end of the negotiations, the parties agreed to review the feasibility study of the project with the participation of experts from both sides.
