Around noon on Saturday, a fire broke out in a karaoke cafe located in the basement of a four-story building in Fergana.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, a message about a fire on Sayilgokh street was received at 11:39, at 11:44 six fire and rescue crews arrived at the scene. At 11:48 the fire was localized and extinguished at 11:56.
Six people died as result of the fire, with seven people hospitalized with injuries of varying degrees.
Later, the Ministry of Emergency Situations clarified that the cause of death of six people was smoke poisoning.
