Complicated districts

Since January 2023, districts have been divided into categories in Uzbekistan: a differentiated taxation procedure is applied for enterprises in them and subsidies are provided.

208 cities and districts are divided into 5 categories according to the conditions for small business and specialization. Certain areas are considered more difficult for business development, which can present challenges for businesses operating in these areas.

According to this classification, 20 districts (9.6%) are in the 5th category and are considered areas with difficult conditions. Among them are Bozatau, Kegeyli, Kanlykul, Muynak, Takhtakupyr, Shumanai, Bustan, Ulugnor, Arnasay, Dekhkanabad, Tamdyn, Mingbulak, Kushrabat, Sardoba, Bandikhan, Kizirik, Altynsay, Sokh, Yazyavan and Yangiarik districts.
